Job Description
Acira Consultancy Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Worker to support individuals, families, and groups within the community. The successful candidate will assist clients in accessing services, improving wellbeing, and achieving greater independence through advocacy, support, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical, emotional, and social support to clients in line with individual support plans
- Assist clients to access community services, programs, and resources
- Advocate on behalf of clients to support their rights and wellbeing
- Conduct assessments and identify client needs and goals
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, service providers, and community organisations
- Support community development activities and outreach programs
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, duty of care, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in community services, social work, or a related field
- Relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work, or a related discipline (Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse client groups
- Knowledge of Australian community services systems and support networks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- National Police Check and Working With Children Check (as required)
