Complex Support Worker (Neuro-disability / Brain Injury)
Supporting an adolescent with complex neuro-disability following a birth-related brain injury.
Role purpose
To provide consistent, skilled, and therapeutic support to a young person with complex physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs arising from a brain injury and cerebral palsy. The role focuses on promoting safety, emotional regulation, independence, and meaningful participation in the community.
Essential skills and experience
Experience supporting individuals with brain injury, cerebral palsy, neuro-disability, autism, or learning difficulties. Ability to remain calm when managing emotional dysregulation, with strong communication and observation skills. A patient, consistent, and emotionally attuned approach is essential, alongside an understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and working within structured support plans.
