At AvenDATA, we implement SOC 2 using the Vanta software platform and manage compliance on an ongoing basis. A key part of our work is the secure decommissioning and audit-proof archiving of legacy systems, ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the entire data lifecycle.

SOC 2 is introduced together with specialized internal and external experts.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a SOC 2 Compliance Consultant who supports the implementation, coordinates the audit, ensures continuous compliance, and handles recurring customer inquiries related to SOC 2.

Your Role

As a Compliance Consultant (SOC 2 / Vanta) at AvenDATA, you will:

- Support and coordinate the SOC 2 (Type I & Type II) implementation using Vanta, together with specialists

- Use Vanta software for ongoing compliance management, monitoring, and evidence tracking

- Translate the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria into practical, auditable controls and processes

- Create and maintain comprehensive SOC 2 documentation (policies, procedures, control descriptions)

- Leverage AI-assisted tools to efficiently generate, maintain, and update compliance documentation

- Manage audit evidence, control testing, and audit trails within Vanta

- Support audit preparation and audit execution with external auditors

- Ensure continuous SOC 2 compliance after the audit

- Respond to customer SOC 2 inquiries (security questionnaires, due diligence requests, audits)

- Act as the central point of contact for SOC 2, Vanta, and compliance documentation

What We Expect

- 3–6 years of experience in SOC 2, IT compliance, IT audit, or GRC

- Strong understanding of SOC 2 Type I & Type II and the Trust Services Criteria

- Experience with compliance platforms (ideally Vanta;
alternatively Drata, Secureframe, etc.)

- Proven experience in creating structured, audit-ready compliance documentation

- Practical experience using AI tools to support documentation and compliance workflows

- Structured, detail-oriented, and self-driven working style

- Very good English communication skills (written & verbal)

- Solid technical understanding of IT systems, access controls, data flows, and archiving solutions
