Compliance Engineer

Experience: 3–5 Years

Location: Coimbatore / Bengaluru

We are looking for a Material Compliance Engineer with strong expertise in IMDS, ELV, and global substance regulations to join our team. If you are passionate about environmental compliance and automotive sustainability, this could be the right opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and validate IMDS submissions from suppliers
• Ensure compliance with IMDS, ELV, GADSL, and customer-specific material declaration requirements
• Create and analyze material and substance trees aligned with customer-released BOMs
• Review material datasheets and perform Substance of Concern (SoC) analysis
• Evaluate chemical composition data for automotive components and systems
• Accept or reject supplier IMDS based on data quality and regulatory compliance
• Handle supplier and customer queries with timely and accurate resolutions
• Support surveys related to REACH, RoHS, ELV, Conflict Minerals, and other global/regional regulations
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Product Management teams

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of Global OEM substance regulations
• Understanding of upcoming Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations
• Experience with IMDS recommendations and material compliance validation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of automotive components is a strong advantage
