Position Details

The Compliance Safety Officer (CSO) fulfills an important role at the University of Lethbridge as a health and safety advisor and mentor for staff and managers within Facilities.

This position is a primary resource to the various departments within Facilities, supporting effective health and safety management across the portfolio. The CSO is responsible for building an enhanced safety culture, while managing compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) legislation, and the University policies, practices, and standard operation procedures. The CSO will be responsible for assisting all groups in Facilities in designing, completing, and administering their safety programs and documentation, including managing electronic documentation systems.
