Component Engineer supports new product development and product sustaining tasks by procuring material to meet project needs. The Component Engineer provides direct daily support to Engineering groups by focusing on sourcing, understanding technical specifications, systems-entry, coordinate and implement custom parts shipping and attend shipping discrepancies to procure material on time for the projects
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provides sourcing support and tracking for components and materials for the New Product Development Team
- Responsible for Bill of Materials interpretation and cost tracking for the Engineering Prototypes and Pilot units
- Works closely with Engineering team to understand specifications and needs
- Work with the Product Development Team to coordinate materials to meet the scheduled timelines
