Component Engineer

Overview

Support the management and integrity of component/item data across ERP/PDM/DMS systems. You will act as the component data steward, first point of contact for material related tickets, help enforce standardization rules, and support alternative sourcing to reduce obsolescence risks.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for material management tickets and inquiries; triage, resolve or escalate issues and use automation/AI tools to accelerate ticket handling.
• Maintain and apply standardization rules across assigned commodity groups; assist in clustering materials into the correct commodity categories.
• Assist in identifying potential alternative components for EOL parts and support procurement with technical evaluations.
• Prepare meeting materials and participate in Component Category reviews; support biannual review sessions led by senior staff.
