Computational Physicist, Lead

Key Role:

Leverages physics expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena to support S&T client challenges. Applies advanced skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction, mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of experience with conducting systems engineering or research developing and advancing physics-based models, including atmospheric transport or biological weapons effects

  • 5+ years of experience with computational dynamics and modeling, including solving partial differential equations using numerical methods such as finite element, finite volume, and finite difference

  • Experience in creating software tools that generate images with realistic, physics-based artifacts and qualities, supporting anomaly detection and classification
