ARTIDIS AG is a clinical-stage health-tech start-up founded in Basel, Switzerland, that has developed the first nanomechanical biomarker for cancer diagnosis and treatment optimization. The ARTIDIS nanotechnology platform integrates different types of clinical data into the ARTIDISNET digital platform, allowing physicians to significantly shorten the current diagnostic process and benefit both the patient and the healthcare system. ARTIDIS enables professionals to design personalized cancer treatment plans tailored to individual patients' needs and desired outcomes.

Job Purpose

This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will contribute to medical imaging AI by developing computer vision models and supporting their transition into production-grade pipelines with strong MLOps practices. Following the successful completion of the internship, there may be the opportunity to be considered for a direct employment position, depending on performance and business needs.

The duration of the internship is 6 months.

Duties

• Build and evaluate models for classification, segmentation, and advanced image analysis on medical data.
  
• Run experiments and improve robustness.
• Support end-to-end ML pipelines: training, tracking, versioning, packaging, and release.
  
• Contribute to MLOps infrastructure (Docker/Kubernetes/Argo), CI/CD, and basic monitoring/observability.
  
• Document work and collaborate with engineering and healthcare stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed a Master's or PhD in CS/DS/BME/EE (or related).
• Strong Python + PyTorch/TensorFlow, NumPy; experience with OpenCV.
• Solid understanding of segmentation/detection/recognition and medical imaging metrics.
• Exposure to Docker, Git, CI/CD; familiarity with Kubernetes, Argo,s, MLflow/Kubeflow is a plus.
• Strong English, good documentation habits, proactive and team-oriented.
