We are developing an autonomous drone platform with vision-based navigation in Gozebo simulation
We need a CV Engineer to optimize our object detection and tracking pipeline
for real-world conditions and edge deployment.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Our drone uses onboard camera to detect and track objects in flight.
The system must work reliably across:
- Different lighting (day, dusk, night)
- Various distances m)
- Moving targets at different speeds
- Challenging backgrounds (sky, clouds, terrain)
Target application: aerial tracking, cinematography, autonomous follow-me.
Current state:
✓ Basic YOLOv8n detector working in simulation
✓ ROS2 integration ready
✓ Gazebo simulation for synthetic data generation
We need you to:
- Improve detection robustness across lighting conditions
- Optimize model for edge devices (RPi5 / Jetson)
- Design augmentation pipeline for varying conditions
- Generate training datas...
