Configuration Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Drive sales order (SO) accuracy
• Work with key stakeholders eg Marketing, Sales, NPI, Special Coordinator, Engineering Services, Order Administration, Manufacturing, Master Schedulers (MS) and VC Modelers etc
• Work with Configuration Engineer on Product Configuration Specification (PCS) document eg. KMAT models, KMAT Phantoms, KMAT BOM, pricing, configuration rules, description, etc
• Ensure new materials and BOMs are set up and created correctly and that ECO is accurate and ready for Variant Configurator (VC) modelling (Structure the PCS into SAP)
• Work with VC Modelers to ensure information in VC is accurate; validate & testing VC changes in SAP & production environment by creating quotes
• Identify configuration gaps and work on closing them.
• Manage any backorder via sale order change request (SOCR)
• Maintain option forecasting with marketing for MS loading
• Develop and maintain key performance metrics
• Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or assist the Master Scheduler the overall business plan of products through the complete production build cycle. Examples: MRP loading / validation, shipment (Sales order hold releases), co-ordinates activities with various functional groups (production, planner, buyer, MS, MDE, sales ops, order admin, shipping etc)
• Execute and maintain accuracy of MRP loading and validation
• Participate in the overall business plan/master schedule MS meeting. If required to interface with various key stakeholders to monitor business changes and ensure timely build plan adjustment by working closely together with the MS.
• Participate and analyze forecast demand fluctuations and analyze its impact to customer's orders and material support

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of related industry experience in managing orders configuration, document control or engineering and planning management
• Familiarity with MRP processes and working knowledge of computer software applications (e.g., MS Excel, MS Power Point, SAP)
• Good Analytical skill, communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to assertively implement configuration management policy
