Your responsibilities will include:

We’re seeking an experienced Configuration & Data Management (CM/DM) Team Lead to support the F-35 Training System Sustainment (TSS) Program across Williamtown and Tindal.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of complex training system baselines across software, hardware, documentation and support equipment. You’ll lead and coordinate CM/DM activities across the program, ensure contractual data obligations are met, and provide hands-on leadership to a growing team.

This is a key role in a mission-critical Defence program, offering the opportunity to combine technical expertise with people leadership while working closely with Defence stakeholders and global partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate CM/DM activities across the TSS program sites
  • Ensure CM/DM activities comply with approved plans, procedures and contracts
  • Manage accurate and timely delivery of CDRLs and SDRLs to customers and suppliers
  • Supervise and mentor CM/DM team members, building capability and consistency
  • Guide program teams on CM/DM best practices and governance
  • Manage configuration baselines across software, hardware and documentation
  • Build and manage product structures and Bills of Materials using EPDM/Windchill
  • Support Configuration Review Boards, audits and problem resolution activities
  • Develop CM/DM process assets, work instructions and training materials
  • Ensure compliance with export control and sensitive information requirements

About you:

You’re an experienced CM/DM professional who enjoys leading others, improving processes and working in complex Defence environments. You bring confidence, structure and collaboration to everything you do.

Essential

  • Significant experience in Configuration Management
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to work autonomously
  • Experience using EPDM/Windchill or similar CM tools
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working in a Defence environment

Desirable

  • Experience defining and managing product structures
  • Data Management experience
  • Experience managing subcontractor, export-controlled or sensitive data

Special Requirements:
