Configuration Engineer

Overview

The Configuration Engineer will provide a key supporting function within the Design Engineering department, for configuration and change management, principally using the Autodesk Vault Product Data Management (PDM) tool. This holds data from individual CAD drawings, electronics schematics, through to full-scale assemblies for complete products and sub-systems. They will also be responsible for facilitating Engineering change reviews via the Change Control Board process.

This role will be the gatekeeper for the control and revision state of engineering designs and supporting documents. They will also be the facilitator for all internal reviews of design and proposed changes. Typical projects reside within the naval or aerospace environment, for prime contractors and Tier one suppliers.
