Construction Cost Estimator

Position Title: Construction Project Cost Estimator (School Projects) – Owners Team Client / Program: Los Angeles Unified School District – Project Execution Position Location: Los Angeles Area (Downtown Los Angeles) Position Start Date: Approximately March to April Salary $208,000 to $213,000 per year as a full-time employee, plus full company benefits, including 10 paid vacation days, 11 paid holidays, and 5 paid sick days. Position Overview: The successful candidate for this position will be assigned to the LAUSD Facilities Program Position Functions: 1. Prepare preliminary and final independent detailed cost estimates JOC/Formal Construction contracts managed by M&O to establish negotiating position as required by change order procedures 2. Provide support in price negotiations 3. Prepare claim analyses and estimates 4. Prepare detailed estimates of construction costs based on drawings, specifications and sketches, square footages, using standard estimating data and tools 5. Review contractor’s claims and proposals for merit and accountability 6. Perform related duties as assigned
