Job Duties:

  • Oversee the review of the weekly bid list to ensure the team focuses on the right opportunities, prioritizing preferred clients in bidding activities.

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and start developing accurate estimates, including costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses.

  • Conduct precise take-offs from blueprints to capture the necessary scope for competitive bidding while adhering to company standards.

  • Review the scope of work and bidder instructions to ensure proposals are comprehensive and all risks are identified before submission.

  • Follow the bid review process, making necessary revisions to bids as required.

  • Collaborate with Senior and Chief Estimators on bid margins and support recommendations for adjustments when appropriate.
