Construction Lab Technician tests and inspects construction materials like soil, concrete, cement, and asphalt to ensure quality and compliance with standards, working in labs or at sites, preparing samples, running tests (e.g., density, strength), recording data, and maintaining equipment, often as an entry-level role crucial for infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Material Testing: Performing tests on aggregates, cement, concrete, soil, bitumen, and bricks.
Sample Preparation: Collecting samples from sites and preparing them for lab analysis.
Data Management: Recording, calculating, and interpreting test results.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring lab instruments (balances, testing machines) are calibrated and working correctly.
Field Work: Conducting tests outdoors at construction sites.
Work Environment
Works in laboratories or on construction sites, often exposed to dust and machinery.
Involves detailed work, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical: Knowledge of civil/soil engineering principles, testing procedures (like IS or ASTM standards).
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, good communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team.

Requirements
