Role Description

This is a 10‑month on‑site contract for a Construction Manager working on the NT Project with a 20/8 roster FIFO. The role involves overseeing project delivery, coordinating teams, keeping timelines on track, and managing communication with clients and stakeholders for an Oil & Gas project in the NT. The work covers the EPC delivery of a commercial shale gas development, including wellsite facilities, gathering systems, a compression facility and an export pipeline. You’ll be hands‑on through every phase, from planning to execution and completion, ensuring the project’s success. A strong SMPIE background and experience in compression plant construction are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • EPC delivery of a commercial shale gas development, including wellsite facilities, gathering systems, a compression facility and an export pipeline.
  • Establish the site as Principal Contractor in accordance with Execution & HSE Management Plans.
  • Oversee the mobilisation and onboarding of subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
  • Drive progress to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in construction management for Oil & Gas infrastructure projects, including planning, execution and completion.
  • Over 15 years of experience in major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong SMPIE background and experience in compression plant construction.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Experience in expediting to ensure schedules are met.
  • Background in logistics management for procurement, materials and transport.
  • Competence in inspection to ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and risk management strategies.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required in construction management or equivalent.
  • Must have working rights in Australia.
