Responsibilities
Electric Vehicle (EV) Construction Manager
As a Construction Manager, you are responsible for executing EV charging construction projects in the field—safely, on schedule, and to standard. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.
You will lead construction delivery for MasTec’s national EV charging initiatives, supporting multi-site, multi-state EV programs with strong field leadership, discipline, and consistency. This role ensures EV charging sites are built efficiently, safely, and in compliance with design, customer, and regulatory requirements.
This will be a high travel role with 90% travel expected.
Lead construction execution of EV charging projects across multiple regions and statesManage daily field operations, including crew coordination, subcontractors, and vendorsEnsure consistent construction standards across all EV sitesOversee site readiness, mobilization, construction, commissioning support, and closeoutCoordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Safety, and Operations teamsEnsure adherence to design drawings, specifications, and scope of workTrack production, labor, materials, and installation progressIdentify constructability issues early and drive field-level solutionsMaintain jobsite safety compliance in accordance with company, customer, and OSHA standardsParticipate in project planning, sequencing, and scheduling with PMsSupport permitting, inspections, AHJ coordination, and utility interfacesProvide accurate field reporting on schedule, risks, manpower, and productivityCapture lessons learned and continuously improve construction executionSupport scaling EV construction from one-off builds to repeatable national programsAssist with onboarding and training of field crews and subcontractors for EV workParticipate in client site walks, issue resolution, and milestone inspectionsEscalate risks, delays, or quality concerns proactively with solutions in hand Qualifications

You’re a field-first construction leader who gets things doneYou have a proven record delivering electrical, civil, or infrastructure construction projectsYou understand EV charging construction (trenching, foundations, conduit, switchgear, chargers, commissioning support)You’re comfortable managing multiple sites at onceYou can read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsYou know how to hold subs accountable without burning bridgesYou thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsYou’re organized, detail-oriented, and solution-drivenYou communicate clearly with crews, leadership, and customersYou’re proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and opPreferred Qualifications
Experience with EV charging infrastructure (Level 2, DC Fast Charging, fleet or public deployments)Background in electrical construction, civil construction, or utilitiesMulti-site or program-based construction experienceOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred)Willingness to travel regionally or nationally as requiredHard Work Pays Off.
