Construction Manager – Renewable Energy (Solar PV, Wind, BESS)


Leap29 is partnering with a globally recognised IPP that develops, builds, and operates renewable energy projects across Europe, South America, and Asia.


My client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the execution of solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Italy. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to health, safety, environmental standards, quality, budget, and timelines from project inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full construction lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Assess project designs for constructability, conduct due diligence (including site visits and CAPEX assessments), and provide technical input.

  • Oversee the handover from engineering to construction, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Procurement & Contracts: Develop procurement strategies and manage tendering processes.
    Prepare and evaluate tender documents, reviewing bids and leading negotiations.
    Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Develop, update, and enforce the Construction Management Plan to align with project requirements.

  • Track and document project progress, ensuring alignment with internal business processes and regulatory standards.

    • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, ideally within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, or BESS).

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and familiarity with project management tools; PMI certification is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel across Italy and internationally as required.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and attention to deadlines.
