Job Title: Construction Manager Electrical (Substation / Oil & Gas)

Interview Location: Chennai

Work Location: Saudi Arabia

Experience: 12-18 years


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction and installation of electrical systems for HV/MV substations, switchyards, and oil & gas facilities.
  • Manage and coordinate daily construction activities at the site including subcontractor supervision, labor planning, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE), and oil & gas industry standards (e.g., API, ASME).
  • Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control wiring drawings.
  • Monitor the installation of transformers, GIS/AIS systems, switchgear, cabling, protection & control panels.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
  • Identify and resolve technical and construction issues on-site.
  • Ensure timely project completion while controlling cost and scope.
  • Conduct regular inspections, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.
  • Track project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and third-party inspectors.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 12+ years of construction management experience, with at least 4 years in electrical substation or oil & gas projects.
