Ideal candidate will have experience working with asphalt and concrete. Service area will span over the entire state of Tennessee, as well as some of North Mississippi, Alabama, and Southern Kentucky. PM will have personal work truck and spending card.Relocation is available paid out in a 90/180/365 day accruement. Position Overview
The Project Manager leads all aspects of assigned asphalt and concrete construction projects, managing budgets, schedules, quality, and team performance. You’ll work alongside leadership, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest possible standard.
This role is designed for a builder and a leader mentality—someone who takes initiative, solves problems, and contributes to growing both the company and the team around them. Answering the phone is a must!
What you’ll be doing:
Help manage P&L responsibility for assigned projects, reporting directly to the President and ownership groupLead project setup during preconstruction, including budgets, phase codes, SOVs, submittals, and time coding strategiesCoordinate and update project schedules from inception through completion, issuing weekly updates and working around field conditionsOversee and manage RFIs, submittals, trade startup meetings, coordination meetings, and change ordersPrice scope changes, manage contract modifications, and maintain up-to-date drawings and project documentationEnforce quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with HC protocols and OSHA regulationsDrive weekly cost and performance meetings; track labor and production data with field teams to proactively address issuesLead the monthly project financial forecasting process to maintain accuracy and accountabilityEnsure timely and complete closeout of all project documentation and client deliverablesManage multiple projects at varying stages, contributing to overall team capacity planningBuild strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors—serving as the primary company liaisonParticipate in continuous improvement efforts to help streamline and scale internal processes What you'll need:
5+ years of self-perform commercial asphalt/concrete project management experience6+ years construction experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software, and document control systemsExcellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage both people and processHighly organized with attention to detail, cost control, and schedule integrityAbility to lead a team while maintaining clear and proactive communication with executive leadershipA proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-first environment
