Consultant in Glaucoma

Applications are invited for a full-time, substantive Consultant in Glaucoma to join our dynamic team of Consultants who are committed to providing the very highest standards of care.

The successful applicant will be the second glaucoma consultant appointed to the hospital. Currently a comprehensive service is offered including all glaucoma surgeries (Trabeculectomy, Baerveldt and Ahmed implants, Istent, presiflow and other micro incision devises) Laser treatments (YAG, SLT and cyclodiode).

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:

  • Work with colleagues to provide a consultant led service with the highest standard of care
  • Work with the multi professional team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines
