Job Description

The technical analyst works on medium to large customer-facing project teams to deploy and support the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) application for customers primarily across Insurance and Financial industries. In this role you will learn to install the OIPA application, assist with system integrations, and triage issues collaboratively with technical architects and functional resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project team including project manager, business analysts, technical architects and solution architects to install and support the OIPA application
  • Support system integration between OIPA and connected systems to meet design
  • Take ownership of customer issues and drive them to resolution through individual effort and collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Maintain a focus on customer success

    • Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related focus and/or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with insurance systems
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Java software development
  • Experience with JSON, XML, SQL, Web Services (REST/SOAP) 
  • Understanding of full project lifecycle, system architecture and development processes
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Customer facing skills including written and oral communication and presentations
  • Self-starter willing to take initiative to learn new things, ask questions, and participate in self-directed learning
  • Ability to develop strong, lasting relationships and work in a team environment
  • Mastery of the English language, both written and spoken

    • Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and associated methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc)
  • Experience working with OIPA application
  • Working knowledge of insurance and/or annuity products
  • Strong insurance industry domain knowledge
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS, & other web development technologies
  • RDBMS administration experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
