Job Description

  • Database Administration & Operations: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL and Oracle database environments across development, test, staging, and production systems. Manage database instances, schemas, users, and storage structures to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve throughput and response times.
  • High Availability, Backup & Recovery: Design and manage high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including replication, clustering, Data Guard, streaming replication, and failover strategies. Implement and manage robust backup, recovery, and retention policies using tools such as RMAN (Oracle) and pgBackRest or similar solutions (PostgreSQL). Conduct regular disaster recovery tests and document procedures.
