Role Overview
We’re looking for a Content Writer Associate who lives and breathes performance marketing videos. This role is not about blogs, captions, or long-form content. Your primary responsibility will be writing high-converting video ad scripts for Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and You Tube, with a sharp focus on hooks, retention, and conversions.
If you think in scroll-stopping openings, tight narratives, and clear CTAs, and you enjoy iterating creatives based on performance data — this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
● Write short- and mid-form video ad scripts for Meta and You Tube
● Create multiple script variations for the same idea to support A/B testing
● Build strong hooks (first 2–3 seconds) that stop the scroll
● Structure scripts for high hold rate, clarity, and conversion
● Work closely with the performance marketing team to:
● Understand CTR, Hook Rate, Hold Rate, CVR, CPL
● Analyze what’s working and what’s not
● Rewrite or refine scripts based on real performance data
● Collaborate with the video team to ensure scripts are practical, shoot-ready, and platform-native
● Adapt messaging for different audiences, geographies, and stages of the funnel
● Balance speed + quality in a fast-moving performance environment
What We’re Looking For
● 2–4 years of experience writing performance marketing video scripts
● Strong experience with Meta and You Tube ads
● Proven work in:
● Performance ads
● Video ad scripts
● Conversion-focused content
● Ability to think beyond “good writing” and focus on results
● Comfortable working with numbers, dashboards, and creative performance insights
● Knows how to write:
-Clear, simple, persuasive scripts
-Scripts that sound natural when spoken
-Scripts that hold attention till the last second
● Understands how different hooks, pacing, and framing affect performance
Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)
● Prior experience writing performance/video ad scripts
● Experience working with or alongside a performance marketing team
● Ability to iterate content based on actual ad performance, not opinions
Nice to Have
● Experience in high-volume creative environments (startups, D2 C, edtech, agencies)
● Exposure to UGC-style or talking-head ad formats
● Ability to write multiple angles for the same product or message
● Experience adapting scripts for different audience segments
