About the role

TasNetworks is seeking an experienced and influential Contract Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across all commercial and contract management activities for the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) — one of Tasmania’s most significant infrastructure programs. This senior leadership role ensures that commercial, contractual, and procurement frameworks are robust, compliant, and aligned with project objectives, safeguarding value and enabling successful delivery.

You will shape and lead the project’s contract strategy, provide authoritative advice to senior leaders and government stakeholders, and oversee the full contract lifecycle from tendering through to closeout. Operating at the intersection of commercial strategy, risk management, and major project delivery, you will play a critical role in ensuring the project meets its scope, budget, schedule, and regulatory obligations.
