Roledescription:
TheContract and Legal Claim Manager will become part of the Claim Department. He/shewill be assigned, among other things, to provide vital assistance to projectteams working worldwide with contractual and legal advice and drafting ofcritical correspondence, change orders and claims.
KeyActivities & Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are notlimited to:
With the support of the projectteams collecting and analyzing information and gathering appropriateargumentation and evidence for drafting claims/changes/rebuttals; Analyzingcontract language, determining proper interpretation, and applying to facts; Assistingthe Contract Manager/Subcontract Administration Manager/Material Supply Managerand project team members in the context of executive projects in defining andpreparing the legal and contractual aspects of critical correspondence withClients, Subcontractors and Suppliers; Developinglegal research and analysis concerning a variety of legal issues; Cooperatewith the Legal Affairs and Contracts Department in the selection and managementof any external lawyers needed to prepare legal opinions; Interfaceeffectively with project teams.
