The opportunity

Seeking an experienced Packaging Technologist to own a clear packaging challenge: developing packaging for frozen, heat‑and‑eat products that can be hot‑held in pie warmers in petrol and convenience stores, with extended shelf life, strong shelf appeal and, ideally, better sustainability. Most work can be done remotely, with occasional visits to Caboolture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead packaging development for frozen products that are thawed, heated and hot‑held in pie machines / hot cabinets
• Recommend heat‑resistant films and packaging formats that extend hot‑hold shelf life beyond 4 hours
• Balance food safety, shelf life, quality and appearance during hot holding
