Responsibilities Exercises expertise in contract cost and price analysis for the most complex procurements, which typically involve development of theoretical approaches that extend existing methods of procurement instruments Prepares pre- and post-award price and cost analyses of contractor proposals and establishes pre-negotiation pricing position. Analyzes forecasted price trends, economic factors, and efficiencies in production for future accounting periods. Conducts in-depth analysis of proposals to evaluate the reasonableness of proposed contract prices. Prepares comprehensive recommendations that significantly affect the content, interpretation, or negotiation objectives concerning cost, profit and price, and provides advice on cost and price matters Prepares formal in-depth cost analysis reports, which set forth the recommended negotiation positions and form the primary basis for final negotiation.
