Contracts Engineer (Real Estate)

Job Purpose:

To ensure that assigned quotations and orders are processed efficiently to achieve maximum profitability , smooth execution of activities , and quality compliance as per IS Standards , while maintaining strong contractual control and coordination across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and finalize Subcontract Agreements and Joint Venture Agreements in coordination with the Manager.
• Manage manpower planning based on quantity execution and timely project completion .
• Analyze and ensure current market rates based on quantity, work description, and scope.
• Follow up on Subcontractor Performance Bonds and Tender Bonds .
• Review subcontractors’ monthly invoices and prepare payment certificates .
• Identify variations / change orders and prepare valuation accounts accordingly.
• Assist the Purchasing Department and Site Project Manager on contractual matters related to procurement and supply contracts.
• Review contract documents prior to tendering and clarify shop drawings .
• Coordinate project close-out activities , including manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain a centralized repository of contract documentation .
• Maintain and update contract databases and order tracking systems .
• Review and update standard contract templates , identifying compliance risks in clauses and terms.
• Evaluate contracts on an ongoing basis to ensure financial viability and functional compliance .
• Handle subcontracted works executed through external firms.
• Examine and evaluate contract pricing proposals and financial reports to determine reasonable pricing and contractual compliance.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of contract administration in real estate projects
• Excellent understanding of BOQs, rate analysis, and valuation
• Familiarity with IS Standards and construction contracts
• Strong coordination and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work closely with site, procurement, and finance teams

Preferred Candidate:

• Experience exclusively from the Real Estate / Construction industry
• Exposure to subcontractor management and contract finalization
• Hands on experience with billing, variation claims, and cost control

compensation:

• Salary : ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 per month
