Job Accountabilities:
To maintain a live database of bidders; prepare and update cost estimation templates; keep track of market trends for rates; conduct negotiations and award contracts. Handle post-award contract management and conflict resolution.
- Continuously explore the market for new contractors, shortlist them, and add them to the Approved Contractors database by following the defined approval process. Update prevailing market rates for respective categories of work. Gather information on ongoing projects in the industry and contractors working on these projects. Stay updated on the latest construction techniques and methodologies and assess the possibility of adoption at Reliance.
- Maintain standard documents such as GCC, SCC, templates, and formats proactively. Initiate process requirements in consultation with HSE, Quality, and FC&A
- Concur with the list of contractors identified by business or site teams based on their financial strength, availability of skilled resources, construction supervision competency, relevant experience, and the size, nature, and complexity of the project. Suggest new contractors, if required.
- Prepare internal cost estimates for each package and pay item for award.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and techno-commercial cost optimization.
- Resolve post-award commercial issues.
Skills & Competencies:
Experience in operations or maintenance at manufacturing or exploration sites is an added advantage.
Education Required:
B.Tech is mandatory + MBA is an added advantage.
Experience Required:
12 to 15 years of experience in the related field.
