Job Description

As a Control Desk Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of plant shipments, in compliance with PPG's policies and procedures. This role guarantees proper accounting records that support financial analysis and informed decision-making. Additionally, you will provide efficient and high-quality service to transportation suppliers as well as internal customers who rely on the information managed by this position.
This position reports directly to the Administrative Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and validate physical shipment documentation, ensuring that all operations are legitimate, accurate, and compliant with established procedures.
Ensure that all payments made to transportation carriers have the required approvals, in accordance with the approval matrix and the rate schedule authorized by the Purchasing department.
