Control Engineer

Description POSITION: Control Engineer DEPARTMENT: Engineering REPORTS TO: Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer Primary Job Duties: Maintain automation systems including PLC's, HMI's, inverters, servos, robotics, network components, and computers. Troubleshooting of all controls issues as well as assisting maintenance in troubleshooting other issues using PLC's. Make changes to controls programs as needed to improve the system or to fix issues. Assist in the startup of new equipment, including IP addressing, acquiring all programs, and verifying the ability to connect and manage the new equipment. Maintain backups and change logs for all backups. Report any changes made to the program review group. Facilitate training mechanics to handle basic electrical troubleshooting and component replacements. Support engineering staff as needed with department management.
