Job Description
Title - Control–M Technical Administrator
Location - Remote ( Hyderabad / Bangalore )
Shift – 9 AM to 5 PM
Role Summary
The Worker will support the administration, development, and monitoring of the Control-M scheduling environment. The role focuses on job development, basic administration, production support, and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior Control-M administrators. The Worker will assist in maintaining Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager to support automated batch processing and ensure reliable job execution across environments.
MUST HAVE
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Control-M , primarily in job/batch development
- Experience creating and modifying Control-M jobs, folders, and workflows
- 3+ years of experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
- Working knowledge of Control-M Enterprise Manager (EM) and Control-M Server
- Experience handling job failures, reruns, restarts, and basic troubleshooting
- Understanding of job dependencies, conditions, and calendars
- Exposure to application integrations such as:
- Informatica
- Oracle DB / SQL Server
- Linux / Windows environments
NICE TO HAVE
- Basic scripting knowledge in Shell / Perl / VBS
- Exposure to Control-M upgrades or patching (support role)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or any ticketing system
- Knowledge of file-based scheduling and file arrival conditions
- Awareness of Control-M security and access roles
- BMC Control-M certification (optional)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, modify, and maintain Control-M jobs, folders, and schedules
- Monitor daily batch execution and respond to job failures
- Perform job reruns, restarts, and dependency validation
- Assist senior admins in:
- Control-M upgrades and installations
- Calendar maintenance and forecasting
- Event Manager rule creation
- Analyze user requests and help automate or improve existing job flows
- Maintain accurate scheduling definitions across DEV / QA / PROD
- Provide Level-1 / Level-2 production support for Control-M-related issues
- Work with Unix/Linux teams to troubleshoot script or environment issues
- Document job flows and assist in knowledge transfer
