About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our team at Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex.


This autonomous project, located 40 kilometres southwest of Moranbah, began operations in early 2023. Thiess has secured a five-year contract to deliver comprehensive mining services, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (autonomous & manned), water management, rehabilitation, and infrastructure construction.


Working a 7/7 Day/Night rotating roster and reporting to the Control Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Operate the mine’s fleet management system and efficiently dispatch mining equipment.

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of multiple operating assets

  • Utilise our Fleet Monitoring systems and tools to their fullest potential, enabling compliance to plans

  • Perform data entry and validation

  • Short Interval Controls and plan deviation management

  • Liaise and collaborate with mining and maintenance teams and other stakeholders 

    • Requirements

  • Proven experience controlling large fleets within a mining control environment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting

  • Capable of following established procedures while actively seeking improvement opportunities

  • Strong understanding of mining processes and systems

  • The ability to meet and exceed production and delivery targets 

  • Excellent communication and computer skills 

  • Ability to multitask while maintaining focus

  • Valid C Class Driving License
