This role requires a strong background in governmental accounting, auditing, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and provide guidance to a small but dedicated accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Conduct audits and ensure adherence to governmental accounting regulations and practices.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounts receivable team, senior accountant, and accounts payable clerk.
• Manage payroll processes for a workforce of approximately 40-50 employees.
