Description
• The Tonawanda Execution team is looking for 2 controls engineers who will almost act like program managers overseeing the GEN 6 equipment coming into the Tonawanda plant. They’ll mainly manage the equipment OEM’s but this person needs technical experience in case this individual has to jump in and help out. Tonawanda is a GPS (Powertrain) plant, they have a Head Line, Block Line, and Crank Line along with an assembly line that actually produces the engines (the other lines are just engine components). John wants a local resource to facilitate the launch of these new lines. He wants this person to start in February as the first piece of equipment is coming into the plant this week (Block Line), that will be the first line they commission before moving over to Heads and Cranks. The CNC equipment at this plant is FANUC and Siemens, most of the Siemens CNC’s are Sinumerik 1 CNC’s.
