Controls Engineer- Rockford, IL

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify potential hazards in machinery, industrial processes, and workplaces.
  • Design and implement safety control systems, including the use of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), automatic shut-off switches, and protective barriers.
  • Ensure that systems comply with relevant national and international safety standards and regulations, such as those set by OSHA, ANSI, RIA, and ISO/EN.
  • Validate that safety functions are working correctly and reliably through performance monitoring and scheduled proof testing.
  • Provide consultation services, offering guidance on safety code compliance, machine guarding, and developing internal safety tools and systems.
