hands‑on position where the technician will troubleshoot PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Wonderware, some Siemens), maintain and repair instrumentation, support daily plant operations, and assist with new automation installations in a highly automated facility. The day‑to‑day work blends project-based automation work with responding to equipment issues, with about 75% of time spent on the production floor and 25% in the office. To be successful, the technician needs 2+ years of instrumentation experience, 2+ years of PLC troubleshooting, a two-year technical degree, mechanical aptitude, and prior work in a food manufacturing environment, along with living within 45 minutes of Dubuque for on‑call rotation.
