We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Specialist to join our legal operations team in Chennai. The role involves handling end-to-end conveyancing activities for real estate transactions, primarily supporting international clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in conveyancing processes, real estate documentation, contract review, and lease management, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced BPO environment with strict timelines and quality standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end conveyancing processes for residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sale, purchase, and lease matters.
  • Review, draft, and analyze legal documents such as sale deeds, title documents, contracts, agreements, and supporting conveyancing documentation.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence on property titles, ownership records, encumbrances, and related legal risks.
  • Handle contract management activities, including reviewing terms, identifying risks, ensuring compliance, and maintaining documentation accuracy.
  • Manage lease administration activities, including lease abstraction, renewals, amendments, terminations, and compliance tracking.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients, solicitors, and external parties to ensure timely completion of conveyancing transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant real estate laws, regulations, and client-specific standards.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and trackers as per process and audit requirements.
  • Support process improvements, documentation standardization, and quality control initiatives within the conveyancing team.
  • Adhere to SLA timelines, confidentiality standards, and data protection requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Conveyancing and real estate transaction workflows.
  • Solid Real Estate Law knowledge , including property titles, transfers, and registrations.
  • Hands-on experience in Contracts Management , including drafting and reviewing legal agreements.
  • Proven experience in Lease Management and lease administration processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal documents with high attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a BPO / legal process outsourcing environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal documentation tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • LLB or LLM from a recognized university.
  • 2–9 years of relevant experience in conveyancing, real estate legal services, or legal operations.
