Job Description

We are a busy Indian restaurant (Namaste Indian Restaurant) in the heart of ACT and are looking for a skilled, experienced cook to join our team.



Cooking various Indian dishes (curries, breads, tandoori items) following established recipes and techniques, using authentic spices and methods.

Ensure all food is cooked and presented according to the restaurant's standards.

Ensure all foods are stored in a temperature-controlled facility

Operating equipment like tandoors for naan and meats.

Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in accordance with Australian standards.

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff as required.

Coordinate with the Head Chef and management to plan menus and specials.



Salary: $76,000 to $78,000 (Plus Superannuation).

Experience :1 year plus experience required, preferably in Indian restaurant

Qualification: Cert3/Cert 4 in commercial cookery or equivalent.
