Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing leadership, alignment, coordination and delivery in the development and improvement of the Division’s K-5 math curriculum program for the school division. The coordinator ensures that resources are available for teacher and student use and provide the necessary staff development for implementation of the assigned instructional program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops a philosophy for the Math curriculum which is research-based and which provides guidelines for developing the curriculum.
  • Develops a scope and sequence; sets goals, objectives, and exit standards; and identifies strategies appropriate for implementing the Math curriculum. Works with Curriculum Review committee to revise curriculum as needed.
