Job Description

DEFINITION

: Provides leadership in literacy for grades 6 through 12. Coordinates the design, development, and the alignment of the Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) curriculum in English Language Arts 6-12 to the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards. Ensures that all initiatives support the BCPS system-wide goals and priorities in the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. Develops and facilitates professional development related to curriculum and instruction in Secondary English Language Arts 6-12. Supervises the secondary office personnel as they support curriculum implementation, instructional pedagogy, and curriculum design in schools. Performs other duties as assigned.
