Coordinator Property Services

Permanent, full-time  

LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB 
As Coordinator Property Services, you’ll lead a team dedicated to managing Council’s real estate portfolio and delivering strategic property services that maximise value for our community. Reporting to the Manager Property and Business Development, you’ll oversee operational management, budget preparation, and compliance, while driving process improvements and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

This exciting role will:  

  • Lead, mentor, guide, direct, and motivate staff, ensuring resources are used to achieve the work program.
  • Oversee the administration of land transactions including amendments to the local environmental plan, leases and licences, acquisitions and divestments of land across Council.
  • Oversee the operational management of Council’s real estate portfolio to maximise returns.
  • Prepare annual budgets and manage monthly and quarterly reviews, phasing, and fees.
  • Assist with implementing the department’s 10-year strategic plan.
  • Prepare and monitor annual KPIs.
  • Maintain quality control of Council reports.
  • Champion property management systems and process improvements.

You’re a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams while delivering exceptional results in a dynamic property environment. You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in land economics, land planning, business, or financial management, backed by a strong understanding of property services and financial governance.
  • A track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability.
  • Extensive experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial control, with the ability to optimise resources and deliver value.
  • Skilled in analysing business processes, implementing improvements, and managing change to achieve organisational goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality reports and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills to navigate complex property and business challenges.

  • Competitive salary from $114,363 to $132,908 per year + 12% Superannuation
