ROLE INTENT
At Magnanimous, the Head of Copy & Content Strategy is the guardian of language, thinking, and storytelling.
This role leads all copy, content strategy, and brand narrative across accounts ensuring every word is intentional, every message is strategic, and every brand voice is distinctive.
You will build the copy & content function as a strategic pillar of the agency, not a support role.
YOUR GROWTH MILESTONES
In 3 Months — Establish Authority
- Take ownership of brand language across key accounts
- Understand MAG’s tone, client mix, and creative philosophy
- Build trust with Creative Directors, Account Directors, and senior clients
- Audit existing content quality and identify improvement areas
In 6 Months — Build Systems & Excellence
- Define content strategy frameworks and brand voice systems
- Elevate copy quality across campaigns, social, films, decks, and pitches
- Lead content strategy for large retainers and key pitches
- Build mentoring structures for senior, mid, and junior writers
In 12 Months — Become a Strategic & Growth Driver
- Own narrative direction for flagship brands and long-term partnerships
- Play a leadership role in new business, positioning, and pitch strategy
- Build MAG’s reputation for exceptional writing and thinking
- Develop next-generation copy and content leaders
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead all copy, content strategy, and brand language across the agency
- Define brand voices, tone frameworks, and narrative systems for clients
- Lead content strategy for campaigns, social, films, websites, decks, and IPs
- Partner with Creative Directors and Account Directors on big ideas and positioning
- Own quality control for all long-form and high-impact writing
- Mentor and manage Senior, Mid-level & Junior Copywriters + Content Writers (EST)
- Shape pitch narratives, brand stories, and strategic presentations
- Build internal writing standards, playbooks, and training modules
- Ensure consistency, originality, and strategic depth across all outputs
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 7–10 years in copywriting, content strategy, or brand storytelling roles
- Strong experience leading writing teams in agencies, studios, or brand environments
- Proven ability to build and own brand voices across categories
- Strategic thinker — not just a creative executor
- Exceptional command over language, tone, and narrative structure
- Experience with social, campaigns, films, digital platforms, and brand systems
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
- High taste level and obsession with quality and aesthetics
