Core Logging Geologist
Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines located near Matachewan, Ontario. The mine has recently completed a highly automated expansion, increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large mineral reserve base, it serves as Alamos’ foundation for future growth.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the successful candidate will assist in multiple areas of the Geology Department, with responsibilities including logging core, planning drilling, core sampling, and photography.
Primary Responsibilities
- Logging definition and exploration diamond drill core
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of drilling programs
- Core sampling
- Core photography
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc in Geology from a recognized Canadian University or equivalent
