Core Network and Facilities Engineer

Description

The position is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications and network systems to ensure reliable and continuous service. The role involves hands-on support for installed network equipment, including health checks, configuration, upgrades, and physical troubleshooting. It also requires the use of network administration tools to support system monitoring and issue resolution, as well as coordination with internal teams, vendors, and partners to maintain operational efficiency and service quality.

The role is responsible for supporting the operations, maintenance, and reliability of telecommunications and network systems. The position involves hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and coordination activities to ensure stable and efficient system performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities such as system health checks, backups, configuration management, change management, and basic project coordination.

Conduct physical troubleshooting, including cable laying, link tracing, testing, and fault isolation.

Support commissioning, upgrades (software and hardware), and system optimization of installed network equipment.

Utilize network administration tools (, PuTTY, SecureCRT, FTP) for remote access, file transfer, and troubleshooting.

Maintain operational documentation and provide clear reporting of incidents and corrective actions.

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to resolve technical issues and support service delivery.
