Core Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced and Core Technician to join our client on site in the Kalgoorlie Region on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth. This is an exciting opportunity join one of the big players in the Gold Mining Industry!

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, the ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Core Yard and be confident driving around the mine site! You will be organised and efficient in your approach, and keen to hit the ground running!

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and log core samples.
• Cut, split, and prepare samples for lab testing.
• Label, bag, and dispatch samples accurately.
• Photograph, store, and organise core.
• Assist geologists with measurements and marking.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Core Technician or related position.
• Previous experience on a Gold mine.
• Manual Driving Licence.
• Forklift or Telehandler ticket and experience.
