Job Description

Hood Container Corporation is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join our Design Center in Chicago, IL. This Designer will utilize their skills to support the corrugated converting operation at one of the fastest growing corrugated manufacturers in the U.S! The Designer will work collaboratively with sales, operations, and customers to create packaging designs, prototypes, and samples.

Designer

  • Create mock-ups/samples for customer approval and validation including providing layouts for CAD lines and print positioning as required.
  • Approve cutting dies and generate corresponding mylars for production.
  • Maintain supplies as needed for job functions: mock-ups, mylars, samples, etc.
  • Design all forms of POP displays, graphic packaging, and industrial packaging.
  • Develop distribution and in-store setup instruction sheets for displays and retail packaging to support client education.
