Cost Accountant

Overview

Position Summary Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Cost Accountant provides financial analytical support to the plant management. This includes adherence to the company’s corporate cost and reporting systems in the plant. The incumbent ensures integrity of the plant’s financial reporting in accordance with established corporate standards and requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Adheres to company standard cost system, policies and guidelines in the plant in accordance with corporate requirements. Includes preparation of daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Accountable for coordinating, developing and maintaining production costs analysis, including direct labour analysis, in coordination with the Plant Manager. Contributing to daily production meetings and regular production floor walks.
